Making Art From Old Books

Do you have a hard time getting rid of old, tattered books? Over at The Olive Press, they're making art from old tomes. While we certainly don't advocate tearing up just any book (and never, ever a library book!), recycling those books that can't be read for one reason or another is a great way to breathe new life into them. If you like what you see, the library has several titles on how to alter books, such as Madeline Arendt's Altered Art for the First Time, and Barbara Matthiessen's Altered Book Collage.
