Here's an interesting book and what might turn out to be a good movie once it's released this Friday:
The Night Listener. The movie is inspired by the book by Armistead Maupin, which was inspired by his real-life relationship with Anthony Godby Johnson, who may or may not be real. A
recent article in the New York Post discusses the dying boy and the strong possibility that he might just be a fabrication of his adoptive mother, Vicky Johnson. Tony's story prompted many famous people, including Oprah Winfrey and sportscaster Keith Olbermann, to call and talk to him, even though Vicky never allowed anyone to see him, saying he was "too sick" for visitors. If you don't get a chance to see the movie, make sure you check out the book, a fictionalized account of the author's own relationship with a boy who may never have existed.

Thanks for the suggestion and letting us know your take on the book! We hope that more people will read it... sometimes we NEED a break from our "daily world!"
